Sky Locksmith has been a staple of the Upper East Side since 1993. Located on 1st Avenue between 81st and 82nd street, Sky offers a wide range of locksmith services in the New York metro area. Our Broadway store is full service hardware, paint and locksmith.

Our history

2019 -

Sky’s Broadway store service and product expansion to Valspar Paints. With this addition, Sky is one of a limited number of paint stores on the Upper West Side, and the only Valspar Paint dealer in a 20 block radius. Custom paint matching and coding from other manufacturers allows Sky to match nearly any commercial/residential paint color on the market. Paint is made available in several sizes to match a project without waste. From pints to 5 gallons.

2018 -

East 73rd Street Store operations consolidated to the 1st Avenue store. Locksmith service for accounts and restricted key cutting service continues uninterrupted at 1574 1st Avenue store.

2017 -

Sky Locksmith & Hardware expands the Broadway store to a new, larger space on the same block. Address is moved to 2212 Broadway. Same great service with a wider array of products offered in store, including expanded paint section, plumbing, electrical and cleaning supplies. Sky features LED light bulbs in shop in effort to help NYC residents save on electric bills!

2016 -

Sky Locksmith & Hardware opens a new store location in Manhattan at 2206 Broadway. This location, near the corner of 79th Street, is the first for Sky on the Upper West Side and specializes in key duplication, high security safes and custom door hardware in addition to DIY hardware, electrical, plumbing, paint sundries and tools.

2015 -

Sky Locksmith & Hardware opens a new store location in Manhattan at 182 East 73rd Street. This boutique location offers the same variety of services expected of Sky Locksmith, including key duplication, DIY hardware, electrical, plumbing, paint sundries and tools. In addition, this location specializes in the sale of AMSEC and Gardall Safes.

2012 -

Sky Locksmith & Hardware was acquired by new ownership in 2012 and continues to serve its existing clients with exceptional service. Sky has vastly expanded its retail inventory, along with creating a new brand identity! 

1993 -

Sky Locksmith & Hardware has been a staple of the neighborhood for over 17 years. We proudly serve local residents, business owners, building owners, and contractors on the Upper East Side.

We take pride in craftsmanship and are devoted to providing excellent customer care to New York City residents.
